There are some weddings that make me smile from ear to ear. There are some that are so brilliantly unique and clever and simply cool that by sheer association I gain a little ‘awesome.’ There are some that simply make me want to get a tattoo. This wedding did all 3.
The first time I met Heather was with her mum. We had coffee and cake….followed by more coffee and possibly some more, until about 3 hours later I emerged with a sore throat and cheeks which ached from laughing so much. You can’t help but simply adore this girl! She’s gorgeously bubbly with a laugh that is ridiculously infectious and of course she shares my love of cake. Kevin is, like me, from South-East London (did I mention I was a ‘saff’ London girl originally?) In fact, they live on the same street as I used to. Random fact. I digress. The point is, he too is completely fabulous. So I knew that their wedding would be AMAZING…..and it didn’t disappoint!
They choose Boconnoc for their wedding, which is a beautiful country house in Cornwall that boasts its own church and acres of stunning grounds.
Heather chose to wear the most beautiful polka dot dress by Candy Anthony.
The make-up was done by Sally Orchard with a little help from Lindsay Adams
Kim Burroughs from Cutting Edge Hair Design did the girls hair.
The boys decided to get ready in Polperro before having a game of darts and a sneaky pint. My fabulous 2nd Photographer, Tony Watts captured these great shots as they ventured in to the town.
However, someone forgot to order the taxi!!!
The Polperro Fishermen’s Choir filled the church with the most beautiful song.
The horses were a surprise present to Heather and Kevin from Heather’s mum. They were supplied by Cornish Country Carriages and after the ceremony, Heather and Kevin were treated to a ride around Boconnoc’s grounds.
Kevin’s cuff-links were custom made from a picture taken during their engagement session with me at Teignmouth beach.
The Bridesmaids looked AMAZING!! Their dresses were all handmade by Heather’s Great Aunt Molly.
Being a complete chocoholic, I adored these Lips and Moustaches chocolate lollipops from Maple Molly’s.
The food was supplied by The Gourmet BBQ company from St. Austell.
The cake! OMGoodness….the cake! This amazing creation was the work of 2 different and completely brilliant companies. The cake itself, in all its 100 and 1000s glory, was the work of Jo Rickard at Jo’s Little Cake Company.
The bespoke cake topper was made by Totally Toppers…..love, love, love!
Heather belongs to Abbey Angels Netball Club and so what better way to celebrate her wedding……
……than to form a classic pyramid pose! 🙂
The Swing Kings provided the music and are brilliant! Briiiiiilliant!
