I love images that are natural, relaxed and gorgeously pretty. I adore warm tones, soft natural light and weddings full of luscious amounts of love and laughter. It is also hugely important to me that the images I take are unique to you and tell the story of your day. During a wedding I like to stay in the background as much as possible, documenting the day as it happens. I like to include lots of fun, candid guest shots rather than lots of formal shots, as well as recording all the beautiful details. During your bride and groom photos, I will give you very gentle guidance so that the images are fun to create but look pretty, natural and timeless.
Where do you cover?
I am based in Cornwall but I cover weddings throughout the whole of the UK and abroad.
What qualifications and experience do you have?
I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Film and Photography. However, I am also the second generation of professional photographers in my family – my father worked for over 40 years as a very successful and respected fashion and advertising photographer in Central London and so much of what I know I learnt from him. I have over 20 years experience of working within the film and photography industry with companies including Universal Pictures, Working Title and Paramount Pictures. However, for the past 8 years I have been dedicated entirely to Wedding Photography.
Digital vs Film?
I shoot weddings using both digital and film cameras as I adore the warmth and depth that film brings to an image. Any film images are professionally processed and scanned to a digital format so that the images you received are all in Jpeg files.
What professional insurance do you have?
I am professionally insured with both public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance.
Do you supply photos in B&W as well as colour?
Yes. Your photos will be a mixture of colour and B&W (unless otherwise agreed)
We love your pictures but we are not sure what to do next?
Firstly, please contact me to check my availability. The majority of my weddings are booked at least a year in advance and I also only accept a small number of weddings a year. This ensures that I can spend a gorgeous amount of time with each and every couple. Creating a tailored approach to your photography is absolutely central to my business ethos.
I always recommend meeting up for coffee and cake so we can have an informal chat about your day. However, for many of my couples this isn’t possible, so I am always available on Skype or to chat on the phone. If I am available for your wedding and you would like to proceed, a deposit secures your date (alongside a signed contract.) Once you have booked your date, I will send out a welcome pack in the post that deals with every aspect of your wedding photography.
